  • Paharpur Business Centre actively initiated on spreading awareness on green concept towards the end of the year among children of The Banyan Tree School, New Delhi

    New Delhi:  Paharpur Business Centre (PBC), a USGBC, LEED certified building takes an initiative to organize a tour to the green building along with the seminar for the children of The Banyan Tree School before the coming year 2012, to make them aware on various conservation strategies so that they can take it forward. 28 students from different streams of commerce and science participated in the seminar.

    They were educated on various concepts of energy conservation, greenery and sustainability. With sources present in our building everything was demonstrated, to make them aware on various measures we have adopted in PBC to make it energy efficient and a BEE certified building. Enthusiastic students of The Banyan Tree School well- participated in the presentation and discussion of green concept. They encouraged us by asking valuable questions which were really appreciated.

    Unlike other school tours for leisure and information, visit to PBC proved more knowledgeable, updated and it spread awareness among the future leaders said the children of The Banyan Tree School. Students were fascinated to know about the three important plants, named as Areca Palm, Mother-in Law’s tongue and money plant. They were taken to the green house of the building where the children were explained about the concept of indoor air quality, which is USP of PBC.

    Being energy efficient and environment conscious building, more emphasis on saving energy and waste management practices was made. They were educated on various aspects of saving environment making a better place to work and in turn increase productivity.

    On this enlightening and significant occasion the youngsters from The Banyan Tree School made resolutions for the coming year 2012. Students of The Banyan Tree School said to make the year 2012 a green and a healthy year. He quotes if there is no greenery it’s a bizarre. They showed a great inclination towards waste management practices and said to follow “Reduce-Reuse-Recycle”.
