    Prime Minister Narendra Modi sought cooperation from all political parties to make monsoon session productive. Addressing floor leaders of parties in the two Houses of Parliament, Mr Modi said governmentgives huge importance to the issues raised by all political parties and urged them to collectively strive for a constructive atmosphere in the monsoon session for national good. Briefing media persons after the meeting, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar said, all parties have assured their cooperation.
    Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan and Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu also chaired two separate all party meeting to ensure smooth functioning of both the Houses.
    BJP Parliamentary Party’s executive also met for a strategy meet in the Library Building of Parliament. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Party President Amit Shah, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Ravi Shankar Prasad and several senior BJP leaders participated in the meet.
    NDA leaders also met ahead of the session. Besides, Prime Minister and BJP president, LJP’s Ram Vilas Paswan, Anu Priya Patel of Apna Dal, RLD’s Upendra Kushwaha, Sukhdev Singh from Akali Dal, Ramdas Athavale from RPI and Shiv Sena Sanjay Raut participated in the meeting.
    A decision was taken to act unitedly on proposals put forward by the opposition. The recent decision to raise MSP for farmers was hailed by all. A resolution congratulating Prime Minister Modi for this move was passed.
    The monsoon session, which will conclude on 10th August, will have 18 sittings.
