  • QAI Launches 50th Batch of PRINCE2® Training in India

    Published on October 13, 2010

New Delhi  : QAI (www.qaiglobalinstitute.com), the leading workforce development and consulting organization is proud to launch the 50th batch of PRINCE2 training in India from October 26th to 31st, 2010. QAI is the first and amongst the very few Accredited Training Organizations (ATOs) by APMG, UK, the official PRINCE2 Certification Body, in India.

As Project Management field is maturing, Project Management professionals and organizations must also adapt accordingly. Developing competetive skills has become a mandate. PRINCE2 as a standard for Project Management competencies is fast catching up. It is the de facto standard for Project Management in the UK and is widely recognized and used in the private and public sector in the country and with the new version launched in 2009 by APMG, it indeed is gaining the same status across the globe.

According to the Standish Group CHAOS 2009 report, 24% of IT projects are still outright failing, while 44% continue to remain ‘challenged’. Smarter technology and matured processes have somehow not helped the industry bridge the success gap entirely. We have recently seen an example of this in the Common Wealth Games Project. Projects, so many delays and overshooting the budget. Project Management has become a critical competency not only for organizations but at a country level today. Project Managers are required to get the now-required training and expertise for successful and timely completion of projects.

As more companies broadbase into other geographic regions, they discern that knowledge of a world class Project Management methodology such as PRINCE2 is invaluable to provide superior services to their clients. Also, the structured approach provided by PRINCE2 is quite appealing to organizations, which undertake large scale projects for enhancing their project success rate.PRINCE2 being a process-based approach for Project Management, providing a flexible, adaptable, user friendly and scaleable method is well suited for any kind of project and guarantees the required competencies to the individual.

Commenting on achieving this milestone, S.Ramani, Practice Head for Project Management at QAI, noted, “The continued evolution of PRINCE2 method, training and examination systems have contributed significantly to the recognition of PRINCE2 as a truly global standard. We are extremely pleased to be the first organization in India to attain the coveted ATO status for imparting trainings in PRINCE2. We have also successfully cleared the annual surveillance assessment carried out by APMG – demonstrating our capabilities to provide quality trainings for PRINCE2.”

QAI has trained over 140,000 professionals and certified over 40,000 professionals globally in over 43 countries, in multiple domains like Project Management, IT Service Management, Software Testing, Innovation Management and others. In PRINCE2 alone, QAI has trained about 500 individuals till now, including trainings conducted by QAI in association with other ATOs.
