  • RCB crash out of IPL tournament

    Published on May 1, 2019

In IPL cricket, Royal Challengers Bangalore crashed out of the tournament as their encounter against Rajasthan Royals was abandoned due to rain in Bangalore last night.

The rain-affected match was reduced to a 5-over a side contest. Bangalore posted 62 runs for seven in their quota of overs. Rajasthan Royals’ leg-spinner Shreyas Gopal took a memorable hat-trick.

Chasing the target, Rajasthan scored 41 for one in 3.2 overs when the rain came back.

The match was halted and both teams had to share a point each.

It keeps Rajasthan mathematically alive in the tournament as they have 11 points from 13 games with one match to go.

But Bangalore got a point, taking them to nine points from 13 games, ending all their hopes of progressing in the tournament.

Today, Chennai Super Kings will play against Delhi Capitals in Chennai at 8 PM.
