Pune: State Bank of India, the country’s largest public sector bank, is implementing Uniken’s TruBank (VPSI) Host-to-Host secure and automated file transfer solution for securing their cash management application.

“TruBank (VPSI) H2H is powered by Uniken’s cutting-edge REL-ID (relative identity) mutual authentication and encryption protocol (RMAP). This will enable SBI to offer an extremely secure connection to their customers, over which the bank can send and receive their cash collections and payments all across India”, said Nanjundeashwar Ganapathy (Chief Technology Officer, Uniken). “The solution was commissioned by us in a record time and offers a customized web interface for State Bank of India’s corporate customers – which allows them to integrate the cash management tasks with their existing ERPs. It supports all UNIX-based OS, including Solaris.”

Commenting on this deployment, Sanjay Deshpande (CEO & Chief Innovation Officer, Uniken) confirmed that “There has been a significant demand for such a product in the Indian market for while now, but no other company has come out with such a flexible and secure offering as yet. This product will help banks capture a greater market share and extend their services to more cash management customers across the country.”

He further added that “Uniken is also a member of the Sun Partner Advantage Program – so the customers of Sun can take advantage of our partnership as well, and roll out remote and secure cash management services for their clients using the secure TruBank (VPSI) host-to-host (H2H) technology.”

Sources reveal that Uniken has just launched a similar product for enterprises that are looking for a secure and alternate solution to digital certificates and VPNs. This revolutionary product, named VPSI (Virtual Private Secure Internet), will also be based on RMAP (REL-ID Mutual Authentication and Encryption Protocol), which mutually authenticates two end points and sets up an encrypted channel before transferring any confidential data.
