Snapping an 8-session winning streak, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange closed with a slim loss of 25 points, or 0.1 percent, at 19,420, after choppy trade, today, on profit-booking by investors, as global crude oil prices hit a 30-month high.
The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange fell 8 points, or 0.1 percent, to 5,826.
But the bourses in China, South Korea, Singapore and Hong Kong rose between 0.5 percent and 1.3 percent.
