Mumbai: Conceptualized by hotelier Mr. Rohit Narang in collaboration with celebrity Chef Sanjeev Kapoor –

“Stir Crazy” restaurant marked its debut in the spirited and lively neighbourhood of Thane at Viviana Mall. A lip smacking addition to the city’s diverse palate with a new concept of “The Market Place” which is driving people crazy; one needs to explore and discover it.

Located in newly built Viviana Mall,the restaurant offerings comes from – China, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand,Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore and Indonesia. Guests can choose from an array of salads, soup and starters with vegetarian, poultry, meat and seafoodoptions – 140 options in a truly extensive menu with fresh selection of vegetarian and non vegetarian ingredients and sauces in the unlimited wok!

The design is a contemporary and modern interpretation of an oriental style which highlights the contrast between organic and inorganic and animate and inanimate. The streamlined interiors feature a fountain with floating glass, a market place bar and a supersized inverted dome that hints at the traditional oriental wok. While the interior design is both captive and inviting, the real star of Stir Crazy is the interactive oriental food experience.

The Stir Crazy character is seen in a comic strip style wall graphic in the restaurant along the Marketplace area wall. He is first seen as he gets lifted off the road by the smell of food wafting by. He peeks up from behind baskets at the market, then jumps over buses, swings from lanterns and avoids getting caught to follow the smell of the food into the wok kitchen.

We have invested a lot of effort into the creation of the menu for the restaurant and recognizing the local cultural sensibilities, we present – Stir Crazy– A memorable and different dining experience that you will cherish. The Market Place concept is something new which people who experimented are loving it. We encourage our guests to indulge our chef manning the live counter with an array of fresh ingredients on display and create their own wok tossed sensations.”

Also seen on the occasion were many TV celebrities including Sheshank Vyas and Smita Bansal of the Balika Vadhufame, Shilpa Sakhlani, Adhvik Mahajan from Bani Ishq da Kalma, Vishal Singh from Saathiya and Aman Verma. They all were in good spirits enjoying the place creating their own dishes and comparing with the rest. The warmth of the place was symbolized from their energetic smiles.
