  • The Funjabi Tadka unleashes Fun & Food with its new outlet in the Garden City

    Bengaluru:  After the successful venture in Eastern India with two outlets in Kolkata, the time has come for Bengaluru to indulge in the exotic KNH_6046and robust flavours of the North with the foray of the newest outlet of The Funjabi Tadka. With one the favourite cuisines in India at the helm, this new eatery is complete with charismatic decor and sizzling menu choices which caters directly to adventurous guests and local city diners. The Funjabi Tadka will take its guests through a journey to the bylanes of North India to present a delectable platter of spicy goodness, pioneering style of ‘eatertainment’. The 120 seater restaurant is spread over 2600 sq ft and it is located on the third floor of the Forum Value Mall, 62 Whitefield Main Road, Bangalore 560 066.

    Designed as a refreshingly open and stylish restaurant, defined by its spacious settings and elegant décor, The Funjabi Tadka is a unique destination that offers authentic North Indian flavour in a contemporary atmosphere. The interiors set off the authentic Dhaba feel with a decorated “Funjab” truck, the table mats with visual riddles on age-old “muhavares”, bamboos and colourful ropes. One of the USP’s of the eatery is the unique “Moras” used instead of regular chairs. These “Moras” have been specially sourced from rural vendors to add to the authentic experience of the guests. The same interior designer and architect who did the two restaurants in Kolkata have been involved in the Bangalore unit as well.

    In its exciting kitchens, the drama and flair of preparing food will surely enthrall the tastebuds with their panache and the menu will entice them to try out a variety of unusual offerings. The exquisite menu, comprising of signature dishes like Kadhai Gohst (Bhuna mutton with spices), Keema Kaleji (mutton cooked with mutton liver), Murgh Saagwala (chicken cooked in spinach gravy), Amritsari Machhi, grilled on tawa or deep fried or roasted in tandoor, (River water fish cooked with lot of spices), have been specially crafted by the Chef, who brings North India’s vast treasure of ingredients and flavors to the dishes. The Funjabi Tadka also flaunts a delicious repertoire of Kebabs, Indian Breads and Desserts, which promises to charm the diners with their luscious flavor and aroma. The restaurant aims for further expansions down south, as the market has huge potential and more outlets will be followed.

    The Chef De Cuisine commented on the occasion, “Our spices, pickles and masala mixes are sourced from different parts of North India to get the most authentic taste and our food has a great variety for vegetarians and non-vegetarian options. There is a lot of innovation in the food while still retaining original flavours. The home style way of cooking creates the difference in tastes and textures of our dishes.”
