  • Usha International organizes an exclusive Meet and Greet with Mumbai Indians

    Mumbai : Usha International, one of India’s leading household consumer durables company and the ‘official Partner’ of Mumbai 3K8A5102Indians (MI) team in the 7th season of the Indian Premier League 2014, organized an exclusive Meet and Greet event in Mumbai.

    Rohit Sharma, Keiron Pollard, Michael Hussey and Jaspirt Bumrah were present at the event to interact with selected Usha dealers and employees who were winners of an internal contest.  Collaboration with Mumbai Indians is a part of Usha’s larger effort in promoting sports and a healthy lifestyle among the younger audience. It blends perfectly with the Usha brand ethos ‘Play’ and thus promoting a healthy and cheerful lifestyle not only by sponsoring sports but also through the exclusive range of modern appliances with the brand promise ‘Work feels like play’.

    Commenting on the occasion and Usha’s association with Mumbai Indians team, Dinesh Chhabra, Chief Executive Officer, Usha International, said “Usha as a brand stands on strong fundamentals of trust, honesty, integrity, and long term strategic partnerships.  For over 25 years now, we have been supporting sporting initiatives as it merges well with our brand philosophy.   Today’s event was woven to let our partners interact and have a good time with star players of the MI squad who are known for their passion and hard work.”  We at Usha, like our partners Mumbai Indians who support ‘Education for All’ initiative for underprivileged children, are working constantly through our over 3000 silai schools to financially empower underprivileged women.

    At the event, Usha range of stylish Juicer Mixer Grinders were put on display. Mumbai Indians players tried their hands at the product emphasizing on the importance of ‘Juice’ as key medium for health and nutrition in contrast to other aerated drinks.

    In addition, the evening saw an exciting round of ‘Mumbai Indians Trivia’ played between the MI troupe and the audience which was followed by dinner and cocktail. All the players signed autographs, posed for the cameras and interacted with their passionate fans amidst lot of fanfare and cheer.

    Usha International supports and promotes a wide array of sports initiatives across the country which includes the Mawana Marathon, Ultimate Frisbee, Golf (junior, ladies, amateur and professional) and now Cricket. Recently, the company partnered with the All India Cricket Association for the Deaf (AICAD) for the inaugural edition of the USHA Deaf IPL. As a part of the skill development initiative, Usha International has opened over 3000 ‘Silai Schools’ in non electrified villages across India to empower women and make them self- reliant.
