USHA, a major supporter of Indian golf, is proud of its long-term association with the sport, covering the entire spectrum of the game. USHA has been associated with ladies golf for over 25 years, and today is the nationwide sponsor of the entire Indian Golf Union (IGU) Ladies Tour.

In addition, USHA is committed to supporting golf at the Juniors level, sponsoring IGU Junior tournaments in Delhi, Bangalore, Chandigarh, and is closely associated with the Junior Training Program (JTP) at the Delhi Golf Club.

USHA Punjab Juniors Golf Championship 2012 commences today, 16th October 2012. A total of 72 players are competing in the tournament being held at the Shivalik Golf Course, Chandi Mandir.

Viraj Madappa  from Kolkata, who recently won the Northern Indian Juniors has a good opportunity to build on that as  he tees off at the Usha IGU Punjab Junior Golf Championship on Tuesday.

Viraj is currently third on the Order of Merit in Category A-B.

With golf being included in the 2016 Olympics for the first time, USHA International aim’s is to assist in bringing home a medal by associating with IGU for their Women and Juniors Championship tournaments pan India .
