The BWF Victor Korea Open Badminton tournament begins in Seoul today.

With ace shuttler Saina Nehwal leading the Indian contingent, all top seeded players are participating in this first BWF event of the year.

The opening round matches of all the categories will be played today. While Saina Nehwal will shuttle it out against Susan Egelstaff of Scotland in Women’s Singles, Ajay Jayaram will take on local boy Wan Ho Shon in the Men’s Singles category.

In Men’s Doubles, the Indian duo of Sanave Thomas and Rupesh Kumar KT will face the Korean pair of Jae Sung Jung and Yong Dae Lee.

In the Women’s Doubles event, the Indian combine of Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponappa will play against the Malaysian pair of Vivian Kah Mun Hoo and Khe Wei Woon.

In Mixed Doubles, the Indian pair of Jwala Gutta and V. Diju will meet the Malaysian duo of Peng Soon Chan and Liu Ying Goh.
