    fSC_00380038VIVANYAS – The Ethnic Elegance a collection of handloom Silks and Cottons Expo kicked off at Sri Satya Sai Nigamagamam, Srinagar Colony,Hyderabad. The Expo inaugurated by Tollywood Actress, Pora Pove movie fame Soumya Sukumar by lightning traditional lamp. It will be on till 29th Dec 2014, Time 11:00am, to 9pm.

    “Unique collection in sarees, kurtas, kurtis, dress materials for casual and formal wear, Jewellary  to complement the clothes as also a wide range of home linen. Weavers, Designers, Artisans displaying Authentic and infinite collection of textiles from all over Country” Said, organizer  Madhavi Naidu.

    The collection has exotic Uppada, Cotton Silk, Narayanpet, Venkatgiri, Mangalgiri cotton from Andhra Pradesh, woven and printed tussar from Bihar, Crepe and printed silks, ilkat cottons from Karnataka, Kanjeevaram silk and Chettinad from Tamilnadu, Chanderi and Maheshwari from  Madhya Pradesh, BenarasiJamdani&Jamawar from Uttar Pradesh, Paithani from Maharashtra, Baluchari, Daccai Cottons from West Bengal, Kota and kota silk from Rajasthan which are some of the traditional textiles of India. The fusion of Jamdani style in the Uppadas and South Indian Silk varieties brings out the contemporary varietiesand add glamour to the textile fashion in the country”  she added.

    “Alongside weaving, Indian textiles also display the art of needlework, printing and painting. The Kantha from West Bengal, Kutch of Gujarat, Kashida of Jammu & Kashmir, Lucknowichikan of Uttar Pradesh and an amalgam of different embroideries have grown in popularity as specialties of different regions – each is different and distinct from the other”  Madhavi Naidu said on this occation.
