  • WC 2011: Canada restrict Pakistan to 184

    Showing outstanding display of bowling and fielding, Canada restrict Pakistan to 184 in 43 overs in a group A match of the cricket World Cup at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Thursday.

    Earlier, Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi won the toss and elected to bat first.

    Pakistan rested fast bowler Shoaib Akthar while Canada left out all-rounder John Davison in the last minute due to injury.

    Canada suffered heavy defeats in both their games losing to Sri Lanka by 210 runs at Hambantota and Zimbabwe by 175 runs.

    Pakistan beat Kenya by 205 runs and won a close game against Sri Lanka by 11 runs.
