    New Delhi : – Lenskart.com, India’s first and leading ecommerce website for eyewear, understanding its corporate social responsibility organizes a social event in association with NGO named Pankhudi to help the needy school children see the future better & clear.

    Out of 1.12 billion people in the country, 456 million people require vision correction in the form of spectacles, contact lenses or refractive surgery to be able to see and function normally. A further 133 million people, including 11 million children, are blind or vision-impaired due to lack of an eye examination and access to appropriate pair of glasses.

    Given these numbers, Lenskart realizes its social responsibility of giving people the pleasure of clearer vision. For the same, Lenskart takes the initiative of helping the needy with vision problems, and donating prescription spectacles after a free eye check-up by an eye specialist.
