  • Madhya Pradesh : In Madhya Pradesh, six people, including five Probationary Officers of State Bank of India, were drowned when a boat ferrying them, capsized in Narmada river at Maheshwar in Khargone district on Sunday.

    Fifty seven persons, most of them Probationary Officers from SBI’s Regional Training Centre at Indore, had gone for a picnic.

    Thirteen were on board the ill-fated boat. The boat reportedly lost its balance as probationers moved to one side.

    Seven people were rescued by the local people. Bodies of all the deceased were fished out this morning.
