Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai today said, there are 60 kilometres area in India Bangladesh border which can not be fenced, making it prone to infiltration.

Replying to a question in the Rajya Sabha, Mr Rai said due to rivers in the area the fencing is difficult. He said, 33 land acquisition proposals are pending with the West Bengal government. The minister lamented that the state police does not act in the manner it should act.
