The 65th Martyrdom Day of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi is being observed today. A number of functions are being organised throughout the country to mark the occasion. A two-day All India Gandhian Summit will begin at Guwahati in Assam today. Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and the State Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi will attend the summit along with delegates from across the country.

The Anti-Leprosy Day is also observed today to create awareness among people that the Leprosy is completely curable.
