  • Condition of Pakistani prisoner who was attacked in Jammu jail is stable

    jammujailw1Condition of Pakistani Prisoner Sanaullah Ranjay, who was attacked in Jammu Jail on Friday, is stated to be stable.

    Doctors attending on him at the PGI Chandigarh have said that he is still on ventillator with severe head injuries and any decision on surgery would only be taken after his condition stabilizes further.

    Meanwhile India has given consular access to Pakistan with regard to the injured prisoner.

    India has also suggested to Pakistan a meeting of officials of both the countries to ensure safety of their prisoners in the other country.

    On the other hand Pakistan has sought repatriation of Sanaullah on humanitarian grounds. Acting tought in the matter, Jammu and Kashmir government has suspended the suprenintendent of the Jail where the attack took place and ordered an inquiry.
