  • RJD- LJP announce seat sharing arrangement for Bihar polls

    Published on August 16, 2010

Lalu Yadav led Rashtriya Janata Dal and Ram Vilas Paswan led Lok Janshakti Party on Monday announced a seat-sharing arrangement for Bihar Assembly polls.

Under the agreement RJD will contest at 168 seats, while LJP will contest on 75 seats.

Both the parties had earlier ruled out possibility of their falling apart and termed as rumour the reports of LJP’s merger with Congress.

Meanwhile, Congress also dismissed suggestions of a possible tie-up with either of the two parties for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections and said it will go alone.

In the 243-member Assembly, RJD currently has 54 MLA’s while LJP has 10.
