International golfer Jyoti Randhawa has been arrested by the Uttar Pradesh Forest Department in Motipur Range of Katarniyaghat in Bahraich district. He was arrested on charges of poaching.

Interrogation and further legal action is being carried out by the DFO Katarniaghat and his team.

Station officer of Motipur Hemant Kumar Gaur told source  that Jyotinder Singh Randhawa alias Jyoti Singh Randhawa and his friend Mahesh Virajdar were in the area from last few days and team of forest department was keeping an eye over their activities.

A vehicle, weapon and other equipment, along with wildlife articles, have been seized from them. A skin of wild boar, Range Finders, binoculars and a gun registered in Randhawa’s name have also been recovered from his vehicle. He also reportedly killed a jungle fowl on Tuesday.
