Guwahati: Dark clouds in the sky accompanied by strong winds were seen in Guwahati on Tuesday afternoon. Also heavy rain lashed parts of the city following the strong winds. The rains began at around 1:20 PM that led to slow down of traffic in the city. The visibility across the city was also low due to the dark clouds. Guwahati city of Assam was hit by a severe storm on Tuesday. Strong gusts of wind hit the city at approximately 1 pm and people were left running helter-skelter on the streets. Shortly thereafter, heavy rain lashed the city at around 1:20 pm.The storm and the rain has died down at the time of filing this report, but more brain is being expected in the city as per weather forecasts. No damage to life and property have been reported so far. More details are awaited.
