Haflong  : With the initiative of the Chief Executive member, N C Hills Autonomous Council Sri Debolal Gorlosa, the people of Dehangi area are going to get a New Branch of Langpi Dehangi Rural Bank at Dehangi soon.

The people of this area have been suffering hardships when they go to undertake any banking activities whether it will be of personal banking or that of the beneficiaries of govt. schemes due to absence of any bank in the nearby area.  And to undertake any banking activity they have to go to Haflong town which is approximately 60/70 kms from their place.

For this a meeting was held with the Officials of the Langpi Dehangi Rural Bank at Guwahati, and the CEM, NCHAC with the purpose of setting up new Branch at Dehangi area.

It is learnt that after a prolong discussion, a decision has been made to set up a New Branch which will surely benefit the people of Dihangi. Thus it has been envisaged that this New Branch will benefit the toiling and hardworking village people saving their time, money and energy at the same time in their banking activities.
