Dima Hasao D C C demands implementation of Article 244(A

Haflong : Extending solidarity towards the DHARNA on AUTONOMOUS STATE at Delhi by
KAN CHAS D COM and other organizations today (17/7/2019), the Dima Hasao District Congress Committee strongly demanded the implementation of Article 244(A).
This was disclosed by Nirmal Langthasa, President , Dima Hasao DCC in a press conference held at Rajib Bhawan, Haflong today.
Langthasa stated that the Dima Hasao District Congress Committee strongly condemned the BJP Government both in centre, State and Hills Districts of Assam regarding Lok Sabha Question reply on AUTONOMOUS STATE, implementation of Article 244(A) of Indian Constitution on 16/7/2019 raised by M.P Sri Horensing Bey which stated ‘There is no proposal under consideration to create any Autonomous State under article 244(A) of the Constitution’.
In the last Lok Sabha, former M.P Sri Biren Singh Engti introduced the Assam Re-organisation (Karbi Dimanchal) Bill, 2016 on 05/08/2016 . The Congress in its recent 2019 Lok Sabha Election Manifesto released by Assam Pradesh Congress also clearly stated to seriously consider the AUTONOMOUS STATE implementation.
In the recent Parliamentary Election the BJP Party of Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao along with their Candidate Sri Horen Sing Bey made the promise that if BJP candidate wins the election then BP will implement the article 244(A) in the context of the delegation of the KAAC met with Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi on 19/03/2019 submitting memorandum on implementation of Article 244(A). The Delegation issued press statement in Print and electronic media that BJP will implement AUTONOMOUS STATE issue.
By the reply of Home Minister(Minister of State) Shri G. KISHAN REDDY in the LOKSABHA dated 16/7/2019 it’s clearly seen that the BJP party has misled and fooled the people of both the Hills Districts of Assam by promising to fulfill the long pending of AUTONOMOUS STATE if voted to power. In this regard, They demanded that Sri Horensingh Bey to reintroduce the AUTONOMOUS STATE BILL in this session of Parliament.
Dima Hasao District Congress Committee strongly demandws the implementation of Article 244(A) at the earliest and extends solidarity towards the DHARNA on AUTONOMOUS STATE at Delhi today(17/7/2019) by KANCHASDCOM and other organizations.
