  • Ladakh Union Territory delegates visits Kokrajhar

    Kokrajhar: A five-member delegation from Ladakh Union Territory are on exposure visit to Kokrajhar  to study the functioning of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) administration.

    The team is led by liaison officer Ladakh Union Territory administration Urgain Nurboo.  The other members in the team includes Rinzin Dorjay, Thinlay Nurboo, Stalin Chophel, Tsring Angchok and Jigmet Paljore.

    The delegation visited the Central Institute of Technology (CIT), Bodoland University, Kokrajhar Government College, Bodoland Movement Martyrs’ Cemetery and Joint Directorate of Sericulture.The team also visited Bathou Thanshali, Baganshali.

    Nurboo said the main aim of visiting BTC is to study and understand the functioning of BTC administration.

    “We aim to understand the functioning of BTC like funding structure, budgetary structure, fundraising, mobilization of centrally sponsored schemes and development of the region,” Nurboo added.
