In yet another ceasefire violation, Pakistan Army initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing with small arms and heavy mortar shelling along the LoC in Shahpur, Kirni and Krishna Ghati Sectors of district Poonch in Jammu & Kashmir this evening. PRO defence, Colonel Davinder Anand has said that Pakistani Army troops initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing and heavy mortar shelling along the LoC at about 1750 hours.

The PRO said, Pakistani Troops initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing with small arms and thereafter heavy mortar shelling along the LoC in Shahpur, Kirni and Krishna Ghati Sectors. The Indian Army troop guarding the fence are retaliating befittingly with equal caliber. The exchange of fire continued till reports last came in. The PRO said, there are no reports of damage to any property and loss of any life from our side. Details are awaited.
