The 73rd Birth Anniversary of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa was celebrated all over Tamil Nadu. Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy and Deputy Chief Minister O. Paneerselvam today paid floral tributes at her memorial and inaugurated an exhibition portraying her life and also of her mentor and late Chief Minister MGR. Earlier today, leaders garlanded her statue kept at the party headquarters and planted saplings at Jayalalithaa campus in the city.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi remembered former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa on her Birth Anniversary today. In a tweet, Mr Modi said, she is widely admired for her pro-people policies and efforts to empower the downtrodden. He added that she also made noteworthy efforts to empower Nari Shakti. Mr Modi said, he will always cherish his interactions with her.
