    – Finland is the happiest nation for fifth straight year according to the World Happiness Report 2022

After Finland was ranked the happiest nation according to World Happiness Report 2022, The Academy School (TAS), Pune, also transfers the happiness to students which will create a better future for India. TAS uses the Finland model and aims to transform India into a happy nation through education as a tool. TAS is a National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 model ICSE school and follows the Finland Education System pedagogy. It is the first school in Maharashtra to introduce the learning model and one of the first schools to have adopted the NEP.

According to the report, Finland was ranked number one happy nation while India ranked 136th. The Finland Education model has been recognized as one of the world’s leading learning models and for many inspiring reasons. Finnish Education system focuses on making a child’s learning journey a happy one.

“Education, knowledge, and wisdom play a vital role in the progress of children, people, and their nation. It’s rightly said that happy children are the responsible citizens of the country. TAS aims to do just that and mould our students into happy and responsible citizens for the better future of our country. TAS always wanted to give an international exposure to Indian students because it will bring about the next revolution in education,” said Dr Maithili Tambe, CEO, TAS.

The Finland education system schools pass on this happiness through the curriculum and its way of teaching. TAS, which is a not-for-profit institution, aims to cultivate children in a similar manner and mould students into the best of human beings with intelligence and wisdom at the same time. The curriculum and its way of teaching make the students future-ready and can contribute to the overall happiness of the country.

Dr Tambe also added that TAS was set up to provide students with a world-class experience in education through unconventional, innovative and progressive teaching methods. “There were various options available to TAS as far as education tie-ups are concerned, but zeroed in on the Finnish education system pedagogy because it aligns with our mindset and its idea revolves around the happiness of a student. It pretty much reflects in our tagline as well, ‘Happy At School’, because we really mean it. Since the inception, our aim is to keep students, parents and all stakeholders happy.”

TAS was established in Pune in 2015 by the Gramodaya Trust with the aim to provide world-class education to the children in Maharashtra. TAS was set up to provide students with a world-class experience in education through unconventional, innovative and progressive teaching methods. TAS is a product of a long legacy and experience in the education sector. Gramodaya Trust is a sister trust of SMBT and Amrutvahini Educational Trusts. It runs educational institutes in the fields of Medical, Dental, Engineering, Pharmacy, Ayurvedic Medical, etc. at Nashik, Sangamner (Ahmednagar) and Pune.
