ADP Private Limited, a subsidiary of ADP Inc., today organized the grand finale of the 6^th edition of ADP Cricket Tournament at RRC Grounds, Secunderabad.

Every year ADP Private Limited brings home the cricket fever for its associates by organizing this tournament which is one of the most eagerly awaited events in the year for its 6,000+ associates in Hyderabad. Apart from the participating teams, cheering groups from the company also enjoy encouraging their coveted teams. The participation has grown tremendously in the last six years as this year’s tournament witnessed participation of over 1,200 associates in this 6th edition of this tournament. In order to make the tournament more interesting, a twist to the regular cricketing rules were applied. A unique feature of the tournament was that each team should have at least one woman associate who would bat in the first over and also bowl the first over in each inning. The aim to have such a rule was to enhance the interests of women players and encourage them to participate actively in the matches. As a result, the participation of women associates has increased to 90 women players in this edition.

This year, the tournament also witnessed interesting team names such as IS Thalaiva’s, Aam Aadmi – 11, Chichore Spartan’s, Such-In-XI, Bluecoat Blockers, TAX RAIDERS and Belly Boyz that locked horns for the coveted trophy. A total of 82 matches were played in this 7 week long tournament. The semifinals were played between Killer Dealers & Sleeping Tigers and NASC Smashers & Top Ones and the finals were played between Sleeping Tigers and NASC Smashers wherein NASC Smashers emerged as champions by winning the match by 9 wickets.

On the occasion Mr.Shakti Sagar, Managing Director, ADP Pvt. Limited, said “Cricket has always been in the mind and soul of every Indian. As there have been many short format tournaments taking place which everybody has been watching and enjoying, we thought of providing an opportunity to our associates to experience how it feels inside the ground. We are very pleased to see the enthusiastic response of all the associates which has grown over the years since we launched this tournament in 2009”.

In the past, ADP has organized workshops like Self Defense techniques for women, Theatre, Photography, Meditation, etc to name a few which received great response from all the participants.
