  • Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh could not get any interim relief from Delhi High Court on Wednesday as court deferred the hearing on his bail plea to 18th October.

Arrested for his alleged role in the 2008 cash-for-vote scam, Amar had moved the Delhi High Court on 3rd of this month after he was denied regular bail by Tees Hazari Court, which is holding the trail in cash for vote scam.

Issuing a notice to the investigating agency Delhi Police, Justice Ajit Bharihoke had sought its status report on Singh’s case within three days while slating his bail plea for hearing on Wednesday.

Singh moved to High Court after a city court had on 28th September rejected both his interim and regular bail pleas saying his role was “major” in the entire episode and aimed at “disgracing” parliamentary democracy.
