Social activist Anna Hazare is still in the premises of Tihar jail even after his release from custody last evening. He is demanding his unconditional release.

Official sources said that back channel talks between Team Anna and Delhi Police are on. Anna and his Team are keen to go back to JP Park for holding their proposed fast.

A high-level meeting in the Union Home Ministry Wednesday morning took stock of the situation following the arrest of Anna.

Later, the Home Secretary R.K. Singh said that Anna Hazare is free to go wherever he wants to go. He told reporters that Delhi Police is talking to him.

The Congress Core Group also met under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister this morning and chalked out the future strategy in the wake of the developments following Anna Hazare’s insistence to hold fast at JP Park indefinitely.

BJP Parliamentary Board also discussed the issue on Wednesday morning.
