To make latest, modern, and quality healthcare services available and accessible in Kolhapur, Aadhar Hospital was founded in 1998 by a team of passionate doctors and within a short span grew significantly. In 2012, the Aster DM group of hospitals along with Aadhar Hospital established Aster Aadhar Hospital. The amalgamation of the two leading healthcare institutes to form a multispecialty hospital was aimed at offering all healthcare services under one roof at Kolhapur to assure access to medical aid for patients in the region and to bring down travel to bigger cities.
In a span of a decade, Aster Aadhar Hospital now has over 100 skillfully trained doctors, 700+ staff and has also expanded into a 250 Bedded facility.
