  • At least 17 killed in Afghan suicidal attack

    In Afghanistan, at least 17 people were killed in car bomb attack in the capital Kabul on Saturday. Those killed include 13 foreign soldiers of US led International Security Assistance Force service ISAF, three civilians and one Afghan policeman.

    Official sources said the suicide bomber targeted a bus carrying them in Darulaman Square in south-western suburb of the city. The bus was badly damaged in the explosion. One witness told a news Agency that it was a huge explosion and at least ten bodies of foreign forces were taken out and evacuated by two helicopters.

    A press release issued by the Joint Command of the NATO forces quoting initial reports says that thirteen soldiers died in the attack. According to media reports the Taliban has claimed the responsibility for the attack.

    In another incident in eastern Kunar province bordering Pakistan, a woman suicide bomber blew herself up outside police office in Asad Abad on Saturday morning.

    In a yet another incident two NATO soldiers were killed when a man wearing an Afghan military uniform fired at coalition and Afghan troops in the country’s south on Saturday.
