  • BMS College of Engineering Students Wins Hackathon at Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology

    Bengaluru : BMS college of Engineering students bagged the first prize in the Hackathon competition organized by Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT) at their annual fest nmit (1)Anaadyanta held earlier this month at their campus at Yelahanka, Bangalore. More than 30 colleges from across Bengaluru participated in the event. The theme of the competition was “E- commerce Application” where the participants had to develop an online application for e-commerce in the given time slot of 3 hours.

    The team of Chirag Shenoy, Shubham Kanodia and Sourabh Singh from BMS College of Engineering won the competition against many other reputed colleges across Bangalore. The competition was judged on the basis of functionality, relevance to the theme, user interface and ease of use. The winning team’s application consisted of a web application that included features like Authorization user Login, Sorting the products based on price, size and other specifications.

    On winning, the students expressed immense happiness and said that “the application was real difficult to make in the given timeslot, so we decided to divide our jobs and combine it at the end. Team work and our hard work paid off once the application was built.”
