  • British Foreign Secy arrives in New Delhi; Security, Defense & counter-terrorism to be discussed with Khurshid

    India and the United Kingdom will deliberate upon a range of key British Foreign Secy with Khurshidinternational, regional and bilateral issues, including security, defence and counter-terrorism during the visit of British Foreign Secretary William Hague in New Delhi today. During a day long visit, Mr Hague will hold delegation-level talks with his Indian counterpart Salman Khurshid. He will also meet Finance Minister P Chidambaram, National Security Adviser Shivshankar Menon and other senior dignitaries. An External Affairs Ministry release said that bilateral relations go beyond trade and commerce with the increasing focus on co-operation in the fields of Science and Technology, education, space and defence technology, civil nuclear co-operation, counter terrorism and green energy initiatives.
