  • Campaigning in top gear for Delhi Assembly polls

    arvind-(1)Campaigning is in full swing for Delhi Assembly polls amid top leaders from all political parties are criss-crossing the state to woo the voters.

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address an election rally at Dwarka on Sunday.

    Congress President Sonia Gandhi will hold a rally at Meethapur chowk in Badarpur constituency while AAP chief arvind Kejriwal will hold three rallies at Narela, Sadar Bazar and Valmiki Colony.

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressed a poll rally at Karkardooma on Saturday and hit out at the Congress for not doing enough for the people of Delhi during the past 15 years they were in power. He also indirectly hit out at AAP as well, saying Aam Admi Party had betrayed the people of Delhi.

    Reacting to the promises made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a rally in Delhi, AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal alleged the BJP led government at the centre had failed to stop rising prices of food in the city.

    BJP’s Chief Ministerial Candidate, Kiran Bedi, while addressing a rally in Delhi on Saturday, said if voted to power, her government would make Delhi safe for women in 3 days by deploying home guards everywhere in the city.

    Aam Admi Party leader Kumar Vishwas denied the allegations that he has used derogatory remarks against BJP’s leader Kiran Bedi.

    Talking to media in New Delhi, he accused the BJP of levelling false charges against him as the party lacks issues to fight assembly elections in Delhi.

    Earlier, BJP complained to the Election Commission against the AAP leader for his alleged derogatory remarks against it’s chief ministerial candidate.

    The Office of Chief Electoral Officer, Delhi has issued a show cause notice to Aam Aadmi Party in connection with the violation of the Modal Code of Conduct.

    According to the office, the notice has been issued on the basis of a complaint filed by Delhi BJP President Satish Upadhyay regarding pasting of poster of BJP leader Kiran Bedi illegally on several autos in Delhi.

    The AAP has used photographs of BJP’s CM Candidate Bedi alleging her as an opportunist. The party has been asked to submit its reply on Monday.
