In China, the death toll in Friday’s landslide in northern Shanxi Province has gone up to 10. Local authorities said so far, 16 people had been pulled out of the debris. Ten others are still missing.

The landslide hit several residential buildings and a public bathhouse, reducing them to rubble. Hundreds of policemen and medical personnel are on site to help with the rescue effort.
