  • College students get GRE test-taking tips at radio show events in Mumbai

    Published on August 11, 2015

Mumbai : Indian students thinking about taking the GRE® revised General Test for graduate and business school around the world are getting some tips and added advice to help their future. Throughout the next month, individuals on campuses across India will have the opportunity to learn more about the GRE revised General Test through information shared on Big FM Pune.

The events team, along with radio channel RJs, recently visited Pillai Institute of Information Technology and Media Studies and research and Don Bosco Institute of Technology in Mumbai and engaged with students, sharing valuable information about the test and even sharing GRE-branded giveaways.

The team provided information about the popular GRE test functions that let students “skip questions & go back” and change answers within a section. Students at the Pune events also learned about the ScoreSelect® option, available with GRE tests. With this option, students don’t need to make immediate test day decisions about their scores. They can test again to try to beat their scores and just send schools whichever scores are best, allowing them to submit a stronger application. In 2014, more than 1 out of 4 Indian test takers took the GRE revised General Test more than once, so the information shared at these radio shows is valuable to graduate and business school aspirants.

The radio events are being made possible through the GRE® Program at Educational Testing Service (ETS) as part of their campaign to give students the power of confidence. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Prassana Nambiar, Principal Don Bosco Institute of Technology, “This is an exciting initiative by the GRE team to reach out to students. As many of our students harbor visions of going overseas for their education, it is refreshing to see this kind of enthusiasm from the GRE team to help students realize these dreams and aspirations.”
