CPI (M) has demanded the resignation of Gujrat Chief Minister Narendra Modi for his alleged inaction in Ishrat Jahan encounter case. A Polit Bureau statement of the Party issued in New Delhi today said that the fair probe in this case will not be possible as long as Modi remains in power.
The Party has asked the Central Government to take appropriate action to ensure justice to the victim. Saying that the SIT report also brings into question the role of certain senior officers of central agencies who were complicit in the faking of evidence, the party also demanded investigation into their role.
