  • Debutant Forrest boosts Australian total

    Peter Forrest scores 66 in 83 balls on ODI debut as Australia build towards a big score after electing to bat against India in their tri-series ODI cricket match in Adelaide on Sunday.

    The hosts reached 4 for 181 after 36 overs when report last came in.

    Upon winning the toss, Australian captain Michael Clarke had no hesitation batting first for the third time in as many matches this series, but Ponting and Warner made a sluggish start against Zaheer Khan and Vinay Kumar.

    India have made two changes to the side that won against Sri Lanka, resting veteran Sachin Tendulkar and leaving out pacer Praveen Kumar for Gautam Gambhir and Umesh Yadav respectively.

    Australia have decided to give young Queenslander Peter Forrest a break in international cricket and he comes in place of a rested Mike Hussey.
