Mumbai  :Atosa hosted a cocktail evening to showcase creations by young and dynamic fashion designer Sonya Vajifdar for the preview of her unique raincoats and prêt colour drenched line for the monsoons.

Over teas, canapés and coolers Sonya with Aparna Badlani and Azmina Rahimtoola of Atosa played gracious hosts to the guests who came to admire rainwear for ladies, kids and even dogs,  bags as well as the prêt line. Both lines are exclusively available at Atosa. Guests seen mingling were Aditya Roy Kapoor, Shahzahn Padamsee who came dressed in an beautiful teal blue green ensemble by good friend Sonya Vajifdar, Pratichee Mohapatra, Krishika Lulla with daughter Siya Lulla who were seen dressing their dog Bonsai in a raincoat by the designer, Scherezade Shroff, Designer Shruti Sancheti and many more. The dogs paraded all around Atosa  with thier owners in stylish rainwear by Sonya .

Sonya’s latest rainwear line is once again, trendy, stylish and chic. The collection comprises a number of styles such as neon coloured raincoats, balloon style raincoats and even pop-coloured rain ponchos .Her rain wear comes in a variety of colours and can also be jazzed up with sequins and beads wrapped in a net fabric to give the 3D effect. The Sonya Vajifdar  collection is very versatile and easy to wear, a beautiful blend of vibrant colours seen in distinct colour blocking and shaded themes. It consists of a range of resort wear and a Pret line comprising of kaftans, dresses, tops and skirts and is very wearable line complimenting all age groups. Silhouettes are flowy and the fabrics are light and conducive for the season ahead consisting of tie – dye elements that definitely provide an edge to the designs. The new colour drenched collection showcases shades of bright turquoise, shocking pink, cobalt blue, bright turquoise orange. “The collection is an easy wear modern collection, made up of mainly tops, kaftans and dresses. The colours are bright oranges, turquoises, pinks and blues. There are many which are 3d or 4d shaded, which adds a twist to the pieces,” adds Sonya.
