    Published on July 4, 2019

As the season of Hajj starts, the first flight carrying 419 Haj pilgrims landed in Madinah this morning. They were received by the Indian Ambassador Dr. Ausaf Sayeed and Consul General Md. Noor Rahman Sheikh.

Adequate arrangements for the stay and medical facilities for the Haj Pilgrims have been made by the Indian authorities there.

Speaking to AIR, Consul General Mohd Noor said that for the first time, pre-allotment of buildings have been introduced whereby rooms of Hajis are allotted prior to their departure from India for Madinah for easy check-ins.

For Makkah, the system of pre allotment has been going on for many years. Adequate medical facilities have also been created by the Indian authorities which are functional round the clock for the Haj pilgrims.

Two lakh Indians are expected to perform Haj this year. Nine other flights are expected during the course of the day from India carrying 2,300 pilgrims.
