  • Global Learning Charter Public School Announces College Acceptances for the Class of 2021

    NEW BEDFORD MA:Global Learning Charter Public School (GLCPS), a tuition-free public charter school that currently services 500 students in grades 5-12, recently announced the college acceptances for the class of 2021.

    While students are still making the final selections on where they will attend college in the fall, the 24 graduates were accepted at a wide range of colleges and universities. They include Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI; Anna Maria College in Paxton, MA; Bristol Community College in New Bedford, MA; Bridgewater State University in Bridgewater, MA; Curry College in Milton, MA; Dean College in Franklin, MA; Elms College in Chicopee, MA; Fitchburg State University in Fitchburg, MA; Husson University in Bangor, ME; La Sierra University in Riverside, CA: Lesley University in Cambridge, MA; Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams, MA; Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston and Worcester, MA; Merrimack College in North Adams, MA; Plymouth State University in Plymouth, NH; Regis College in Weston, MA; Rhode Island College in Providence, RI; Rivier University in Nashua, NH; Salem State University in Salem, MA; South Adventist University in Collegedale, TN; UMass Amherst in Amherst, MA; UMass Dartmouth in Dartmouth, MA; UMass Lowell in Lowell, MA; University of Hartford in Hartford, CT; and Worcester State University in Worcester, MA>

    “We congratulate our graduating seniors of their acceptances to these wonderful colleges and universities,” said Dr. Stephen Furtado, Executive Director of GLPCS. “Their hard work and dedication to learning has brought them a number of great opportunities to achieve their dreams. These students have a bright future ahead.”

    GLCPS is currently undertaking an $8 million capital campaign to fund the renovation of a historic building located at 106 Bullard Street in New Bedford creating “One School, One Campus.”
