In Pakistan, at least eight people have been killed and 15 others injured in an attack by gunmen in Quetta. The militants fired rockets at people doing exercises at a soccer ground in the Hazara town of Quetta this morning. According to the local media reports, six to eight unknown militants riding in two cars launched the attack . Witnesses said the militants first fired indiscriminately at the people in the ground, then fired three rockets at them. Later they fled the scene after a brief exchange of fire with the police. Police cordoned off the area and the dead and injured were shifted to nearby hospital. Hospital sources said that some of the injured were in critical condition and the death toll could rise.
