  • Himachal bus accident toll rises to 27

    In Himachal Pradesh, the death toll in the bus accident, which took place near Bilaspur last evening, has risen to 27 after one more person succumbed to injuries.

    According to official sources, out of the three injured persons, who had been referred PGI Chandigarh succumbed to injury and 25 injured have been admitted in Regional hospital Bilaspur, while two are admitted in Indira Gandhi Medical College in Shimla.

    The State Transport Minister Mahender Singh Thakur visited the accident site and also the injured in the hospital in Bilaspur. He also announced 10 thousand rupees to the next of the kin of the dead, and five thousand rupees for the injured, in the accident as immediate relief.

    Our correspondent reports, the accident occurred when the state Transport Bus fell into a deep gorge at Dhamna about six Kilometers from Bilaspur last evening.
