New Delhi  : India School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad were announced the winners of KPMG International Case Competition (KICC) national finals by Mr. Mritunjay Kapur, Head of Risk Consulting practice, KPMG in India. The world’s largest business case study competition, KICC witnessed 11 prominent B-school teams battle it out for the coveted ’KICC National Championship’ trophy, price money of Rs. 20,000 for each member of the winning and a chance to compete for the global finale in Dubai, UAE.

In a glittering ceremony held at Hotel Four Points by Sheraton in New Delhi on 21 February 2015, Mr. Mritunjay Kapur kept the audience captivated during his address to the participating students, and awarded each participant a memento. Faculty members from the participating B-Schools and many other professionals from KPMG’s advisory function were also present on this momentous occasion.

The KPMG International Case Competition (KICC) is the world’s largest business case study competition organized by any Big 4 professional services firm. Globally the competition is a decade old and during this period, it has played a pivotal role in bringing the academia and KPMG professionals closer to one another. In the competition, KPMG member firms across the world select one team from their local markets as contestants for the KICC international final.

The winners are now set to participate in the KICC International Finals in Dubai, UAE, this year in April, where they will compete globally with 28 teams from other countries. This is the penultimate competition in KICC in which the global winner would be announced KPMG will engage with them in practice sessions to equip them with the skills and attributes needed to collaborate and compete in a truly global business environment.

 

The evening’s prize distribution ceremony also recognized teams for their extraordinary performance under KICC’s special awards categories.
