Hyderabad : The driver partners of Porter, India’s leading app-enabled intra-city logistics startup, held their Rewards and Recognition (RNR) ceremony at Indian Foodies Hub, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad recently. More than 53 driver partners with their families attended the event.

The awards were based on the rating given by the customers for each trip. The prizes included watches, Dinner Sets, Home Theatre Systems to Washing Machine, Mobile Phones, TV and the bumper prize of Honda Activa Bike.

The top performer, Dharmendar, was awarded a motorbike for his efforts and superior service given to customers. “I am overjoyed to win the bumper prize. I am planning to give the bike to my children. It was always my dream to buy my children a bike”. ” I am thankful to Porter for helping me fulfill this dream of mine. I thank Porter and promise to always give my best to the company, now and forever,” he added.

Driver partners discussed how their lives have changed after joining Porter. It is one platform which has helped them increase their earnings and reduced their payment issues. Over and above this, various benefits like medical help, scholarships for kids has been well received and has created a familial bond  between Porter and their driver partners.

This year RNR saw many driver partners who have been winning from the past three RNR events which says a lot about the success of the event in terms of motivating the driver partners to provide quality service. Pranav Goel, CEO of Porter said, ” We believe in the ‘Partnership of Self Respect’. This biannual event is a big hit in Porter partner community and driver partners eagerly await this to know whether they have made the list of winners. During the event partners were informed about various tech enabled changes that have been made to make their experience better with the company. This was well appreciated by the partners. The event ended with the announcement of next RNR event in which partners await a grander prize and a better rewarding system.

Porter has also become India’s first logistics company to introduce full online onboarding for vehicle owners. This means that the drivers can install the Porter partner app from the playstore, enter their personal details, complete the training by watching the videos on the app and get onboarded as a partner.

Porter has also recently introduced Porter Wallet and Freelance Model for the benefit of the driver partners. The Porter wallet is a virtual wallet that helps the drivers to keep track of payments as well as gives them the convenience to use their money from anywhere at any time.

The Porter Freelance Model has many advantages including giving the driver partners the flexibiilty to work from anywhere and from any area of their choice for as many hours as they want to with zero penalties.  Sanjeev Mathur, one of the driver partners shared, “This freedom to work as per my timing has helped me fully utilise my idle time and double my earnings. As a result I have finally paid all the EMI’s for my vehicle becoming an owner in just 2 years.
