  • The marathon polling for the world’s biggest democratic elections will come to an end tomorrow after a high voltage and one of the most bitter campaigns in recent history. The final round tomorrow involves remaining 41 out of the total 543 Lok Sabha seats. These include 17 seats in West Bengal, 18 in Uttar Pradesh and six in Bihar.

    In Uttar Pradesh, a total of 328 candidates including 14 women are in fray. Over 19 thousand 800 polling stations are being set up and about 1 lakh 50 thousand poll personnel deployed to conduct the voting.

    Most of the polling parties and security personnel have already reached their destinations.

    The Election Commission has appointed one additional observer each for 17 constituencies going to polls in last phase of elections in West Bengal tomorrow. The State Chief Electoral Officer Mr. Sunil Gupta told that all arrangements have been completed to ensure free and fair voting. Polling personnel have already started reaching to their destinations. Unprecedented security arrangements have been made for peaceful polling.
