  • Innotech 2015 held at Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute Of Management

    New Delhi: One of the top business schools in India, Lal Bahadur Institute of Management located in Dwarka, successfully hosted one day event ‘INNOTECH 2015’ at the college campus on 21st March’15. The institute got privilege to have Shri. Ravi Ramakrishnan, Global IT Head IMG_3493and CIO, UFLEX LTD who was received by Shri. Anil Shastri, Former Union Minister and Chairman, Board of Governors, LBSIM.

    The summit began with lighting of the lamp by chief guest Shri Ravi Ramakrishnan and with keynote address given by Dr. Naveen Rajpal, Professor, USIT, GGSIPU. On the occasion Ravi Ramakrishnan expressed his views on Internet of Things. He further expressed how role of human’s have become secondary and objects have taken its primary place.

    Dr. Rekha Kashyap, Professor, LBSIM, explained how such events are helpful to students and quoted, “Innotech 2015 is combination of Innovation and Technology where young minds can experiment with their abilities to push the limits of current technology. The one day technical event is being initiated for the first time by the institute with the objective of providing a competitive platform to students for showcasing their innovative ideas, programming and coding skills.”

    The purpose of INNOTECH 2015 is to study the scenario when Innovation meets Technology.  The event saw ideation in diverse technology areas of machine learning, data analytics, fuzzy search, cluster infrastructure, mobile apps, and frontend web technologies.  Technology challenges related to digital advertising including automated campaign optimizations, better prediction in bidding model, smart editing of Ad creative search intelligence in mobile, user modeling , Big data insight among others were also the areas of talk.

    LBSIM hosted two major inter-college competitions during the event Project Presentation and Coding Competition whose prizes worth Rs. 65,000. Students enthusiastically participated in the competitions and felt privileged to be part of ‘Innotech 2015’
