Japan pledges never to wage war again

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe pledges never to wage war again as he visits Pearl Harbor Memorial commemorating World War Two. He said ‘We must never repeat the horrors of war’.
75 years after the Japanese attacked the US naval base at Pearl Harbor that killed over 2000 American servicemen, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visited the site to offer his condolences to the victims at the memorial in Hawaii.
Accompanying him was US President Barack Obama. The Pearl Harbor incident plunged the U.S. into the World War 2. After the visit Abe pledged to never repeat the horrors of war again.
Obama said that Abe’s visit to the site of the 1941 Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor showed the power of reconciliation.
