Mumbai: K J Somaiya Centre for Buddhist Studies announces introductory courses in Pali.. The courses offered are Certificate courses in Elementary Pali (Duration 4 months), Pali Textual Study (Duration 10 months) and Advanced Diploma in Pali (Duration 2 Years).  The courses which would be commencing from the 1st week of September, 2015.

In Elementary course, Students will learn a brief history of the Pali language and literature. They will learn to do translations from Marathi, Hindi and English to Pali.

In Pali Textual Study course the texts covered will be the Milindapanha, Dhammapada, Khuddakapatha including Mahasatipatthana Sutta of the Digha Nikaya. Students will be guided through these texts with historical, linguistic, as well as literary perspectives.

Eligibility: Open to students of all ages and backgrounds
